In about two weeks, truck fanatics and transport professionals will descend on the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre to attend the 2017 Brisbane Truck Show. The event is in its 50th year and will pay tribute to the transport industries history before looking forward to its future.
It’s the biggest event to take place at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition, with 300 exhibitors from across the transport industry setting up stalls to share their latest innovations, products, and information to approximately 40,000 attendees.
About the show
Organised by the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA), the Brisbane Truck Show is held every two years and is recognised as the premier event for the Australian Transport Industry. This year’s event involves a NHVR Kids Corner, the 50th anniversary at the Official Opening Breakfast, Plaza Terrace BBQ Bar, Piano Bar, Brisbane Truck Show Awards Presentation Night, Heavy Vehicle Industry Innovation Centre, NHVR Chain of Responsibility Seminars, “Faces of Transport” Photobooth, Industry Career Hubs, and the 2017 National Apprentice Challenge. While the big shows and big trucks are an impressive drawcard, what’s more impressive is the huge impact the Truck Show has on the Queensland economy. Take a look:

- $70.1 million in output into the QLD economy
- The 2015 show contributed a $34.5 million boost in Gross State Product
