Welcome to our final recent deliveries for 2017. The lead up to Christmas is generally a mad-rush across the country, and while our team is taking some much-deserved downtime over the holiday period, they went above and beyond to deliver some extra-stellar trailers recently, which our customers might say are an early Christmas present to themselves.
This month we’re focusing on three of our recent deliveries: A 3X8 Swingwing for Tony Turner Heavy Haulage, a Quad Deck Widener for Berajondo and a self-tracking Full Widener for Haines Bros Earthmoving.
Tony Turner Heavy Haulage
The relationship between Drake Trailers and Tony Turner Heavy Haulage began nearly 30 years ago, with 18 trailers purchased from Drake Trailers over the years. A family owned and operated business, Tony Turner Heavy Haulage specialise in oversize mining equipment and a committed to the safe delivery of every piece of equipment they transport. As his business continues to thrive, it was time to add yet another combo to the fleet. This time around it was a 3X8 Swingwing and 2X8 Dolly Trailer.
The 3X8 Swingwing features:
- Available in multiple tyre configurations
- Can be customised to suit your transport requirements
- Designed and manufactured in Australia
- 5.5hp pull start hydraulic power pack
- Hydraulic controlled ramps
Berajondo Earthmoving & Haulage
Servicing the residential, industrial, agriculture, government and commercial sectors, you’ll likely see Berajondo Earthmoving & Haulage working on projects across Bundaberg, South East and Central Queensland. Recently they drove out with a cool new combo, featuring a Quad Deck Widener and the new Mack Superliner up the front doing all the grunt work.
One of our more popular models in 2017, the Quad Deck Widener has been cleverly designed to give you maximum strength with the lightest possible tare. This has been achieved by using the highest quality high-tensile steel and experienced workmanship, delivering you a robust trailer that will always meet the most demanding tasks.
The Quad Deck Widener comes in 3X4 or 4X4 tyre configurations, a fixed wheel track and 2.5m to 3.5m hydraulic widening.
Haines Bros Earthmoving
Another innovative Drake Trailer which rolled out the gate this month was a self-tracking Full Widener for Haines Bros Earthmoving.
Based in Bringelly, NSW, this multi-disciplined civil engineering contractor has been in business for twenty years, servicing small and large residential and industrial subdivisions, bulk earthworks and roadworks in Australia.
With a fleet of more than 60 earthmoving plants and projects always on the go, Haines Bros need a spec trailer to specifically suited to compactor work. This kind of equipment requires thicker floors and ramps, which our Full Widener trailer ticked the boxes for. Equipped with grip bars, bi-fold and hydraulic controlled ramps, loading up a compactor will be making light work of heavy loads.
Haines Bros Earthmoving coped a bit of friendly banter on our Facebook post about this trailer too, with friends and colleagues joking ‘after years of “I’m ordering a new float” he finally bought one’, ‘about time!’ and ‘could have washed (the Kenworth) before you picked it up!’
We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all our fantastic customers for a great 2017. We were lucky to design and manufacture a range of custom transport trailers for customers new and old, and look forward to delivering more Australian-made trailers in the new year.
