Since the initial collaboration (or marriage, as we like to call it) of O’Phee Trailers and French company BoXLoader, their models have gone from strength to strength. In 2011, they launched the O’Phee BoXLoader Container Side loader trailer which was warmly welcomed by the industry at the 2011 Brisbane Truck Show. Skip forward seven years and the O’Phee BoXLoader collaboration has benefited greatly from the steady rise in container traffic, turning their brand into a household name among the container transport fraternity.
Types of BoXLoaders
The Multiloader, Speedloader, and Step-Over all feature unique individual operating advantages to suit every type of container transport business. Each model offers ample structural stability paired with a clever operating system, which maximises the safety of both crane and stabiliser performance.
MultiLoader BoXLoader
This model is designed ‘Multi use’ for Container pick-up, grounding, trailer to trailer transfers and double stacking. Like the other models, this crane-and-chassis technology can lift to 35 tonnes and is incredibly user-friendly. The double-stacking feature of the MultiLoader guarantees you’ll never have to shorten the lifting chairs while the superior safety features (CANBUS) come complete with two remote controls units with emergency stop. Finally, the Single extension [with the option of the Double extension] Stabiliser legs prime the BoXLoader Multiloader to load a greater number of containers safely.

Speedloader
The Speedloader is one of latest trailers from O’Phee Trailers and features a lifting capacity of 35 tonnes. It’s designed to maximise the efficiency within a fleet of side loaders in mature markets. The Speedloader boasts a light tare weight in the market, allowing for a higher payload. Mick O’Phee notes that the new model offers a much higher performance thanks to the ‘Fixed’ stabiliser leg, making it safer than ever for the operator.
“The user is kept out of harm’s way with the cord Remote-control operation, and no longer has to position the leg to suit the weight of the container”, he adds. “It’s automatically positioned correctly to suit light or heavy containers, removing any possible errors and ensuring a precise landing”.
Step-Over
The Step-Over features double stacking, trailer-to-trailer transfer, trailer-to-ground transfer, kneeling and a lifting capacity of 35 tonnes. With inbuilt CANBUS safety features, dual speed remote and an Australian-made chassis constructed of high tensile steel, it was no surprise to the team when overseas businesses showed an interest in the model.
