2018 is a banner year for The Drake Group. Not only are we continuing to deliver reliable, high-performing heavy haulage trailers built for Australian conditions, but the company is celebrating 60 years of Drake Trailers. And to mark the occasion, the company is hosting a Drake Group Open Day on September 15 2018.
Held at the manufacturing facility in Wacol, the Drake Group Open Day is an all-ages event for the public to see where the magic happens and how these impressive machines are made. Previous open days were a great success and the company is looking forward to making 2018’s event an even better one.
As the business has been a family-run one since Col Drake first opened its doors, being able to share what we do with families has been an important cornerstone of how we work.
Open Day events are an opportunity for trailer aficionados to get up close with our 8,650 square metre manufacturing facility and see how the trailers are designed, engineered and rolled off the production floor. There’ll also be competitions, displays and activities running through the day to keep everyone entertained.
Drake Collectables, the award-winning designer and retailer of die-cast scale models of the most popular trucks and trailers, will also be swinging their doors open for the public. Located on the same Wacol site as Drake Trailers, the store will be giving visitors a sneak preview of upcoming models, offering an exclusive sale on a wide range of items and announcing new items set to get collectors excited.
More details will be released about the Open Day as we get closer to the event on September 15, so mark your calendars. In the meantime, contact the Drake Group to find out more about their range of heavy haulage transport trailers and see why they’ve been known for service and excellence for 60 years.
