Seeing a freshly-painted trailer roll away from our Wacol manufacturing facility is always a great moment, and we got to experience it again when CPH Mining & Civil came to collect their brand new 4×8 Swingwing and 2×8 Dolly.
CPH Mining & Civil
The company got its start in 2004 as a subcontractor for various urban development projects around New South Wales. From there, the company grew and worked on major national projects such as the Hume Highway, Pacific Highway and Centenary Highway renewals.
Today they can list BHP Billiton, Thiess and Downer Group as some of their clients and are handling dam construction, highway maintenance and bulk earthwork projects among others. The team has grown from a single-man operation to a capable team operating mainly in the Bowen Basin region and it’s great to see them do well.
Part of their success is the versatility to carry a wide variety of loads in challenging areas, and that’s where The Drake Group comes in.
4×8 Swingwing and 2×8 Dolly
CPH Mining & Civil recently took delivery of not one but two new trailers for their growing fleet. Both the 4×8 Swingwing and 2×8 Dolly were decked out with CPH’s striking blue and white with orange highlights colour scheme to perfectly compliment the Kenworth truck taking them home.
The 4×8 Swingwing is one of The Drake Group’s most popular models, offering a can’t-be-beat combination of versatility and reliability. It features hydraulically controlled ramps and a low profile to carry immense loads with the greatest of ease. The trailer can be operated with a remote-control system for precise movement by a single operator.
Meanwhile, we’re sure that CPH’s new 2×8 Dolly will come in handy on a regular basis. Its low tare and high tensile frame couples perfectly with the ability to hydraulically widen from 2.55m to 4.6m. It’s a small piece of equipment that offers big results.
