Drake Trailers and CTS Low Loaders go back many years. We’ve built a tonne – in fact, hundreds of tonnes – worth of trailers for the crew to transport heavy haulage and equipment Australia-wide.
Just this month, CTS Low Loaders picked up two new additions to their fleet – a 4X4 Full Widener with Rear Steer and a Dolly Trailer. We felt it was about time we featured this great company as our Customer in Focus for June 2018.
About CTS Low Loaders
Based in Perth, CTS Low Loaders is a family-run business run by Jason Clatworthy, who already had 15 years of heavy haulage transportation behind his belt. While they’re based over the other side of the country from us here at The Drake Group, CTS Low Loaders are experienced in delivering equipment including cranes, excavators, bulldozers, watercraft, farm machinery and more to customers all over Australia.
CTS Low Loaders are a company of firsts. Back in 2013, their monster Kenworth T909 was paired up with a Drake Trailers 100 tonne Low Loader to transport a 992K CAT Loader which was bound for the mining grounds in the Pilbara. The folks at CTS weren’t interested in transporting parts. They wanted to successfully load a fully operational 992 CAT loader legally, and they were able to do just that with a 100t Drake Trailer. The final load was check weighed and signed off under the supervision of the Main Roads Heavy Vehicle regulations for Western Australia. This was a massive achievement for Drake Trailers and CTS Low Loaders, whose goal was to save their customer time and money.
The latest addition
The Full Widener Rear Steer offers outstanding maneuverability and stability thanks to its remote-controlled steering in both forward and reverse. Complete with a low-profile gooseneck, hydraulic suspension and a range of deck lengths, the Full Widener Rear Steer is perfect for heavy-duty conditions.
CTS Low Loaders also picked up one of our market leading 2X4 Dolly’s that features a low tare and high tensile frame that was customised to suit their transport requirements.
The Drake Group, now in its 60th year of operation, is Australia’s leading trailer manufacturer. If you’re looking to increase your capability with a new trailer addition to your fleet, contact us today to discuss your requirements.
