Drake Collectibles at the Nuremberg Toy Fair

Drake Collectibles has had a busy start to the year, showcasing their new models at two reputable fairs, right here in Australia and across the globe in Nuremberg, Germany.

Drake Collectibles at the Nuremberg Toy Fair

In late January, the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nuremberg allowed exhibitors and visitors to feel the spirit of play with a variety of international toy markets coming together to celebrate the industry and its innovations.

Any toy imaginable, you’ll find it at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. From crafts and educational to massive constructions and remote-controlled devices, this is this ultimate place for renowned brands, toy innovators, trendy start-ups, buyers of large chains, independent retailers and media representatives.

It was the perfect fit for Drake Collectibles, who hosted an exhibition stall displaying their new and popular diecast models, including the first release of the designated heavy K200 haulage truck in an array of colours. This particular model has the existing cab but has new chassis, mudguards, stone guards, dual exhausts, air cleaners, spoilers and the Aussie bulbar up the front. According to Bruce Hay at Drake Collectibles, there will be a follow-up release with a few more iconic Australian liveries and some of the more popular colours that Drake Collectibles has been releasing over the years.

It was also a celebration of the hard work and innovation from the Drake Collectibles team with reputable review website Cranes Etc presenting Drake Collectibles with an Innovation Award for their app.

For those who don’t know, the Drake Collectibles App is available to download now and is a one-stop shop for premium collectible items. This is where you find out everything you ever wanted to know about past, present and future Drake Collectibles diecast models.

Bruce Hay was live during the much-hyped event to dish the dirt and announce the new models about to hit the shelves. Visit their Facebook to see a review of all the highlights.

Another successful stall at the Australia Toy Hobby & Licensing Fair

Bruce Hay and Drake Collectibles also showcased their models at the only annual trade event for the toy industry in Australia. This was an exciting opportunity to see hundreds of new products from makers around Australia and gather interest from International industry delegates.

The rise and rise of Drake Collectibles

In the eight years that Drake Collectibles has been around, they’ve produced close to 60,000 models and demand is high amongst collectors around the globe.

On this Bruce Hay says “We saw a white McAleese prime mover with a blue chassis, one of only 20 made and four available to collectors, sell for $4,500 on eBay!”

The future for Drake Collectibles is an exciting one, with special releases set to coincide with Drake Trailers’ 60th anniversary.

“We’ve got some big announcements coming, and it’s an exciting year for us as we celebrate the milestone of 60 years in business for Drake Trailers.”
