At Drake, we’re constantly looking for new ways to deliver strong, versatile and durable heavy haulage trailers to our clients in the mining, construction and heavy transport sectors.
As such, we’re excited to announce the release of a brand new range of low loader models.
New Rear Steering Full Widener
One such model is the rear steering full widener that’s been designed to bring a more manoeuvrable alternative to the heavy-duty market.
Praising the stability and strength of the design, Drake’s General Manager, Khali Lake, was quoted as saying, “When the trailer hydraulically widens, the rear steering axles widen with it and don’t require any mechanical linkages to operate or configure. This is a quick and simple process and can be done from either the trailer or via the optional radio remote control.”
“The trailer retains stability whilst being more manoeuvrable than a traditional 4×4 trailer. Our first client to purchase it, Hi-Tech Heavy Haulage, is able to carry over-dimensional loads and get into locations around New South Wales that were previously too difficult with a standard trailer.”
New Tilt Slide and Drop Deck trailers
“The tilt slide model was developed as a direct response to the demand from our existing client base. We have developed two standard deck lengths and an optional extendable version to accommodate all market needs,” Mr Lake said.
“In addition, we designed a heavy-duty drop deck with a low tare weight that enables the operator to carry more diversified freight. The drop deck can also be optioned with numerous ramp configurations – including single, bi-fold and lay flat styles.”
