Yes, our sister company Drake Collectables has collected another major award, with one of its new products being named Model of the Year for the year 2015 by specialist manufacturing and machinery modelling review website Cranes Etc.
The award, announced this week, was bestowed upon the Kenworth C509 paired with a Drake 5×8 Trailer and Dolly die cast model. The Drake dolly and swingwing trailer accompanying the Kenworth truck are exact replicas, with all moving workable parts diecast versions of our popular, dolly trailer and swingwing trailer.
High praise from Cranes Etc
Cranes Etc gave the model high praise indeed, stating: “Drake has taken forward the original TWH offerings and in the C509 has produced an excellent high quality model combining both super detailing and very good functionality.”
The C509, along with the miniature versions of our Drake 5×8 Trailer and Dolly came out on top of all the other new models reviewed by the site in the year 2015.
The accolade is the latest honour for the acclaimed Drake Collectables, which is world-renowned for its amazing replicas of our trailers.
