Troy Uhle is a fresh face at The Drake Group, joining the ranks as Branch Manager of Drake Services & Repairs Queensland in early 2021.
He was lucky enough to be trained by none other than long-serving team member Steve Collins, who capped off 19 years’ of service with a well-earned retirement in 2021.
Troy’s background is in maintenance and repairs. A manager and diesel fitter by trade, he worked in the mining industry for almost 20 years.
Troy’s Growing Our Qld Service & Repairs Division
Troy’s excited for the change and a challenge, heading up the growing Drake Service and Repairs Queensland division in one of the busiest periods we’ve experienced. This inhouse team of service and repair specialists has been going strong for the last 2-3 years, and Troy is excited to keep building up the division.
“We can do almost any service repairs. Anything from Cert B and Cert C up to full top to bottom rebuild with paint and graphics and that sort of thing.
We service all parts, right up and down the east coast, and our WA division covers the west. Here at Wacol, we’ve got customers from South Australia right up to Cloncurry Qld.
For a general service, refurb or rebuild, customers will just stop by with their load and collect it on the way back.
LCL Heavy Haulage in South Australia is an example. They brought one of their 4×4’s up for a service when they picked up their new trailer, then came back and picked up the refurbed one to take it back down when it was ready.”
