As visitors to the Drake Group open day can attest, visiting the company’s massive manufacturing facility in Wacol is a fantastic experience. We’re certainly hoping that our friends from the New Zealand Heavy Haulage feel the same way after they paid us a visit in August.
The NZHHA is the national trade association for our friends across the Tasman who are involved in the transport of overweight or over dimension loads. Of course, The Drake Group is no stranger to designing and manufacturing heavy haulage trailers capable of any task thrown at them, so we’re delighted to welcome the group for an inspection of our grounds.
80 delegates from the land of the long white cloud toured the facility in two groups, seeing firsthand how we make trailers for every occasion. Trailers made by The Drake Group have been travelling along New Zealand roads for many years now so it’s encouraging to see interest in our work by such a respected industry body.
It was an exciting opportunity to strengthen the respect and relationships we share with members of the organisation and we are grateful for the opportunity to play host to these industry delegates. The NZHHA works with local and national authorities to promote the industry’s interests and safety concerns, in addition to ensuring that road networks are developed with oversize loads in mind. Many of the members of the NZHHA are customers of The Drake Group so it was a unique opportunity to show them where their favourite range of trailers comes from.
