Doolan’s Heavy Haulage and Patlin Transport & Heavy Haulage have contracted The Drake Group for many years to build new floats as their businesses have grown. It’s been a pleasure to see these guys go from strength to strength and build trailers for them over our long relationship.
4X4 Full Widener with Rear Steer for Patlin Transport & Heavy Haulage
Over the last couple of years, Patlin Transport & Heavy Haulage has added a Quad Deck Widener and a 4X4 Quad Deck Widening Tilt Slide to their trailer family. This time around they took a delivery of a shiny new 4X4 Full Widener Rear Steer. Their objective like ours is to create a trailer that is of quality, reliability and durability that meets their customers’ needs.
The Full Widener Rear Steer features:
- Radio remote steering for ultimate maneuverability
- Heavy duty BPW axles
- Electronic Braking System
- 13m o/a deck length with 1 x 40’ container pins
- High tensile quench and tempered steel

Triple decker threat for Doolan’s Heavy Haulage
Doolan’s Heavy Haulage have their competitors green with envy with their new 4X4 Deck Widener and two O’Phee Trailers Tri Axle Flat Top Trailers. It was an awesome sight to see travelling down the highway.
It didn’t take long for the Deck Widener to be put to work, with a follow-up photo posted on our Facebook page and Facebook fans joking that it already needed a wash.
Their new hydraulic widening low loader is perfect for every type of terrain and features a fixed wheel track for optimal maneuverability around town and on-site. The plans are already in motion to produce their next trailer and perhaps even another 1/50 model by Drake Collectible model.
