Seeing our valued customers drive away with a new trailer and a smile on their face never gets old. As we get stuck into 2017 we have delivered some real beauties.
Rob Stribley Transport
Rob Stribley Transport recently took delivery of a brand new Quad-axle Tilt Slide. This popular model is a smart and versatile trailer that allows operators to load heavy items onto the deck without a crane.
The company has been in operation for forty years now and servicing the mining, construction and agricultural markets with heavy haulage services, so a 4X4 Tilt Slide was the perfect solution to their needs. The 4X4 Tilt Slide widens from 2.5m – 3.5m wide and has two 20,000Ibs winches on the bottom deck making it a versatile transport solution that is ideal for all freight tasks for Rob Stribley Transport.
Featuring full radio remote hydraulic and winch functions and BPW Axles with hydraulic suspension, it makes it the ideal recovery trailer solution for their fleet.
The Tilt Slide trailer was paired with a striking ceramic white Volvo FH 600, making a versatile and powerful combination that will serve Rob Stribley Transport for many years (and kilometres) to come. In fact we’ve already seen the Quad Tilt Slide in action, deftly loading and unloading large and heavy machinery easily with its capable tilt/slide system.
Masondale Heavy Haulage
The Gympie-based heavy haulage firm supply transport services in and beyond the Gympie region, including interstate runs when the need arises. Masondale Heavy Haulage needed a new Deck Widener and Dolly to work with their 48.5 tonne logging Skyline, and we were only too happy to oblige.
Noteworthy features of the Masondale Heavy Haulage 4X4 Deck Widener include:
- A deck length of 12,200mm overall
- 6 x lockable toolboxes
- Low profile gooseneck with sliding skid plate
- Rear self-steering axles on 3&4
- Hydraulic suspension
The Deck Widener and Dolly were quickly put to work to great success. The hydraulic suspension was put to the test and passed with flying colours.
Aquaholic Water Cartage
Aquaholic Water Cartage, as the name suggests, have a unique set of requirements for their heavy haulage duties, and of course Drake Trailers were up to the task.
The company operates a fleet of Low Loaders and water tankers to service mining and construction projects. This is where Drake Trailers came in to help.
We fitted out a new Quad Deck Widener with a range of extra features, such as the return to ride automated system, radio remote-control rear steering axles and Electronic Braking System-controlled axle locks. All of these elements, plus the already high quality of our standard trailers, give the driver extra control and security when they’re on the road, not to mention saving valuable time.
A pearl-white Mack truck complimented the Quad Deck Widener in spectacular style and we know the pair will turn heads as they tour across the country in the future.
