It’s been a busy month at The Drake Group’s design and manufacturing facility in Wacol, with new deliveries rolling off the production line to happy customers. Here’s some of the most recent ones.
3X4 Lowboy for Amcor Excavations
Amcor Excavations specialises in earthmoving and bulk haulage services in Queensland and have worked on many large-scale civil engineering projects over their long history. The team at Amcor pride themselves at being able to take on any job, big or small, with flexibility as their focus. That could be why they chose the 3X4 Lowboy as their latest acquisition.
With a low tare weight, high strength high tensile frame, the 45-foot Drake drop deck Lowboy is the perfect solution for anyone wanting to take on all types of different loads at a moment’s notice on a long-term basis. The Lowboy we made for Amcor was built with road train duties in mind and fitted with a BPW air suspension and axle combo. This is to aid in load stability, which is all-important on long trips.
We know the new Lowboy will fit right in with Amcor’s other low loaders that have also been set up for road train work they have in their fleet.
New 5X8 Swingwing for Daracon Engineering
Daracon Engineering have been a long standing customer for over ten years, and we’re overjoyed to see a new Drake Group 5X8 Swingwing Extendable join their ranks. Operating out of the Hunter Valley Region, Daracon Engineering are known for their earthmoving and mining equipment haulage work, in addition to the many operations they perform for the greater Daracon network of businesses.
The extendable trailer means that not only can they perform general heavy haulage tasks with the trailer, but also take on longer and heavier items that can present themselves occasionally without having to switch trailers. Indeed, they have been known to carry loads of up to 165 tonnes and beams weighing up to 75 tonnes, so they have a proven track record in heavy haulage.
