Drake Trailers has a long and proud history of manufacturing heavy haulage trailers that not only perform tirelessly but also look sharp on Australia’s highways. It’s not often the company gets asked to make one sporting a very bright and eye-catching shade of hot pink over its body.
However, Gavin Transport in this instance is the renowned McGrath Foundation, so it makes sense.
The McGrath Foundation is one of Australia’s best known fundraising organisations, working every year to promote breast cancer awareness and support continued research into the area. The Pink Trailer, combined with a similarly coloured Western Star Prime Mover and a white Western Star Prime Mover on the back, was built to help promote this initiative.
Gavin Transport’s The Pink Trailer will travel from its origin point of Brisbane (home of Drake Trailers) and go all the way down to Sydney and Melbourne, then through to Adelaide and Kalgoorlie before arriving at Perth’s WACA on March 26. Along the way it will visit the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Melbourne Truck and Trailer Show, and no doubt plenty of rest stops along the way.
The McGrath Foundation said a massive thank you to Gavin Transport, Drake Trailers and Western Star Trucks, for all their hard work to pull off this amazing awareness and fundraising activity. Remember to keep a lookout for the pink truck and trailer passing through your town!
