The Women in Industry Conference and Awards is returning again from a successful 2017 event. You can attend this highly anticipated event on Thursday 14 June 2018 in Sydney.
This year Australian Mining, PACE, Manufacturers’ Monthly, Logistics and Materials Handling, Prime Mover, Trailer and Diesel are partnered to acknowledge the exceptional women who have achieved success through their invaluable leadership, innovation and commitment to their sector for the annual Women in Industry Conference and Awards.
Women in Industry is your opportunity to recognise the women who are driving change in your industry and are breaking down barriers and creating new possibilities for the next generation in previously male-dominated workplaces.
These may be women you work with, women whose achievements are inspiring you from afar, or women who are providing you with invaluable guidance and support. Women in Industry believe their devotion and exceptionalism should be celebrated.
By attending or supporting the event, it is your opportunity to celebrate the women who are driving change in your industry and are breaking down barriers and creating new possibilities for the next generation.
The Conference and Awards aim to encourage and recognise the success achieved by women in sectors that have traditionally been male-dominated, including road transport, logistics and materials handling, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining and engineering industries.
This conversation is one that requires both women and men to be involved and to help in this process, Women in Industry are encouraging all Conference attendees to bring a male colleague with them.
The Women in Industry Awards recognise and reward the achievements of women working within the mining, engineering, manufacturing, process control industries and commercial road transport industries, and aims to raise the profile of women within the industry, as well as promote and encourage excellence.

“Diversity is the compass of innovation – it leads and directs their innovation. There has been a number of studies that show that diversity in teams leads to better outcomes and that having one woman [in the team] isn’t enough,” Keely Quinn, Canberra division manager for Engineers Australia said at the 2018 Autodesk University conference earlier this year in Sydney.
