With the Brisbane Truck Show 2017 Awards confirmed, the anticipation is building amongst our staff at the Drake Group. With our latest cutting edge Drake Trailers and O’Phee Trailers being showcased, we are expecting an exciting Truck Show Week. The awards encompass the last two years’ best industry achievements in design, manufacturing and engineering.
It’s the first year we’ve had Drake Group stand along with some of our latest products on display at the Brisbane Truck Show. You’ll get to see some of our Drake Trailers’ and O’Phee Trailers state-of-the-art range, as well as unveiling some of our other new trailer models.

The elite of the transport industry will be judging the awards, including Australia’s top transport and equipment journalists.
What are the awards for?
The Brisbane Truck Show 2017 Awards were introduced to recognise the transport industry’s evolving capabilities. Along with industry newcomers, there will be many iconic brands like the Drake Group, who have been revolutionising transport year after year with superior products and services.
Which products can be nominated for awards?
To be nominated for any of the award categories, products needed to have been released on the market since the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show. But there is an allowance made for new features and enhancements to be added to the models after the earlier release date.
Categories recognised in the awards
This year, one of the newest awards that will generate a lot of excitement amongst the industry is the best Performance-Based Standards (PBS) innovation category, which is focused on the strategic initiatives that are implemented to achieve a higher level of productivity for specific tasks.
Other categories that are going to be judged in the show are new technology, equipment, component, body innovation and service innovation.
Main Awards
The most glamorous awards that will be handed out at the Brisbane Truck Show 2017 are the best Australian Manufactured Innovation along with the best Australian Designed and Engineered Product.
