The Drake Group team is gearing up early this year for the 2017 Brisbane Truck Show. While the event isn’t taking place until May 25-28 2017, this year is going to be a bit different for all the brands that come under the Drake Group banner and we’re planning our most exciting exhibit ever.
The first ever Drake Group stand
This year we’re going to be showcasing the whole Drake Group, which includes Drake Trailers, O’Phee Trailers, and one of the Truck Show’s most popular attractions – Drake Collectibles. At the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show, queues of people waited patiently to get their hands on the very latest diecast model released by Drake Collectibles, just days before the truck show, the Kenworth C509 Sleeper Trucks.
The 2015 show also saw the unveiling of Drake Trailers extendable 3X4 tilt slide trailer featuring its 4X4 hybrid steering widener float, which in the two years since has become a best-seller in the Drake Trailers range, delivering on the versatility, durability and improved safety it promised. We’ll be having one and possibly two trailers appearing at the show this year, from Drake Trailers and O’Phee Trailers and we’ll be revealing about which models they might be over the coming months.
The biggest event that happens at BCEC
The Brisbane Truck Show is held at the Brisbane Entertainment and Convention Centre every two years, attracting over 300 exhibitors from across the industry and over the four days, attracting more than 40,000 attendees. The super-sized show takes over all three levels of the BCEC, making it the biggest regular event that takes place at the centre since it opened in 1995.
