Your responsibilities will include carrying out sandblasting and pre-paint preparation, as well as other tasks such as operating hand tools and machines, if trained and qualified to do so. General labouring work will also be required.

Reporting to the Surface Finishing Supervisor, duties include:

• Carrying out pre-paint preparation
• Inform Surface Finishing Supervisor of any defects (Weld, Cutting etc)
• Ensure correct ‘class’ blast is applied correctly according to specifications
• Maintain tools and equipment in an efficient and safe operating condition
• Follow all safety recommendations supplied by Blasting Equipment Supplier
• Follow all safety recommendations supplied by Equipment Suppliers
• Clean trailers to an acceptable standard for blasting
• Carry out duties as directed by the Supervisor
• Correct use of plant and equipment – only as specifically detailed by Supervisor
• Follow safe work practices in all areas of work
• Keep work areas clean and tidy
