Our second half of 2019 has been all systems go here at The Drake Group, with an impressive range of custom trailers delivered to our customers.
Now that we’ve caught our breath after a few busy months, we realised we were well overdue to share some of our recent deliveries. This time we’ve got an old favourite, a slick double combo and a brand-new invention.
Membrey’s 5X8 Swingwide Extendable Rear Steer
Our readers and long-time customers probably haven’t heard of a Drake 5X8 Swingwide Extendable with Rear Steer before. That’s because it’s the first one ever manufactured and our friend Membrey’s Transport and Crane Hire is the proud new owner.
Features of the Swingwide Extendable include:
- Hydraulic raise/lower gooseneck and suspension
- A drop bed frame for high loads
- Radio remote manual steering function that increases accessibility and manoeuvrability
- Self-tracking rear axles that reduce tyre wear
C Wills Transport – O’Phee Double Combo
While there are over 10,000 B Doubles on Australian roads, C Wills Transport’s new O’Phee B Double Combination is sure to stand out among the rest. Finished in striking blue, the new trailer features alloy wheels, Hardox deck plates and container pins. The drop deck tare sits at 9.6t so that weight demands can be met.
SCH Group – 4×4 Deck Widener
Finally, the SCH Group rolled off our lot with a brand new 4X4 Deck Widener with drop deck. This beauty features a fixed wheel track for optimal manoeuvrability, hydraulic suspension, hydraulic controlled ramps and up to 50 tonne capacity.
