The team at Drake Collectibles are always thrilled and humbled to see the reaction to our new line of die cast models from collectors around the world. Our annual Collector’s Day event is a great way to talk with fans while revealing the next generation of models that we’re rolling out.
Previous years’ events have proven to be great successes, with special one-day only sales and limited edition models being debuted.
This year’s Collector’s Day was held on November 28, delayed from earlier in the year due to Covid-19 changing the schedules of basically everyone on the planet.
Thankfully, over 8,000 people took the time to watch our live stream Bruce and the team hosted that was held on the Drake Collectibles Facebook page, joining the 60 people who made the trip to our headquarters in Wacol, Brisbane to be part of the action live.
To make the wait worthwhile we made several new model announcements. These included the next release of the continually popular Kenworth T900 legends trucks, and also new lines of the Kenworth T909 that are currently on route to Australia and should be with us any day now. We can already tell that these are going to be hot items when they’re released so it was great to connect directly with fans to gauge their reaction.
The day was a tremendous success and we look forward to seeing everyone back for next year’s Collector’s Day. Thank you to everyone who attended in person or virtually, it was great to see you there.
