The Heavy Vehicle Industry Association announced the winners of the HVIA Awards 2021, held at the Emporium in South Brisbane last Friday.
A huge congratulations to The Drake Group’s very own Wayne Taradel, who took home a Certificate of Merit as part of the National Apprentice of the Year Award category.
Wayno joined us an Apprentice Boilermaker organised through Apprenticeships Queensland, after dreaming of engineering type work since high school. He is now a fully qualified Boilermaker and officially a member of the Drake Team.
He’s been a dead-set legend since day dot and has consistently exceeded expectations across the board in all his work. He’s a hugely valued member of the Drake workforce and he continues to do us proud. Congratulations Wayno!
HVIA Award Finalists 2021

- The Safety Innovation Award
- The Apprentice of the Year Award
